I now had a determination to succeed and was willing to work hard to achieve my goals. To achieve anything in life takes time and dedication. One of my aims was to overcome stuttering. To do this I had to learn the art of relaxation, I have always been very hard on myself and had spent most of my life worrying about things that may happen in the future. I decided to ease up on myself and to even have monthly treats to keep me and my body happy. I went to see a refloxologist and a few weeks later I went to see an aromatherapist. After working extremely hard with copious amounts of dedication I did manage to achieve fluency - I was very proud of my efforts as you can no doubt imagine.

Avoid negative people

There are people out there who try to bring me down. They attempt to do this by off the cuff comments they make or just by the way they seem to look down on me. They would look down their noses at me. These type of people have caused me many sleepless nights and have had a negative affect on my self-confidence.

Life is now good and my business career has now taken off and I am now working with a company who offer a cost reduction strategy which I have to say is very enjoyable.

Changing Your Thought Patterns Can Bring You Greater Success

Studies have shown that around 20% of our thoughts occur at a conscious level each day. Subconscious thoughts therefore make up the remaining 80% or so of our total number of thoughts.

So, would you be surprised to know that if only about 20% of what you really desire is currently showing up in your life, it may be that you need to spend some more time consciously working on what you are ‘inputting’ every day to affect what is happening to the other 80%?

So, how can you make such a change to your thought patterns? As we can’t control what is currently happening at a subconscious level, we need to change our input at a conscious level. To do that, we need to do the following…

- Processes such as meditation, positive affirmations, and keeping a daily performance journal, all serve to to feed powerful affirming thoughts into the conscious mind, which then permeate into the subconscious mind.

- Whenever negative emotions rise, e.g, emotions of anger, doubt or fear, we need to not let them settle in our minds. Why? Because emotions are transitory. It takes a combination of emotion and though to generate a permanent feeling at a subconscious level, not emotion alone. If we refuse to pay attention to that emotion, it will pass.

- The subconscious mind can’t distinguish between ‘imaginary’ and ‘real’. Therefore, at the level of our feelings, our subconscious mind can’t tell a ‘real’ past event from an ‘imagined’ one. By consistently consuming a daily diet of positive energy, over time, perpetual positivity becomes our ‘reality’.

By following the above steps, we can use the 20% of our thoughts that we have the power to control to bring about change to the 80% that just ‘happen’, thus improving the 80% of stuff that is showing up in our lives.

First and foremost, you have to be attentive to your needs before putting them into action. Try to base them in a positive category where you believe that there are no impossibilities to achieve them. It is not bad or wrong to dream of something real big because dreams are yet to come true if they only just believe.
